Butternut Apple Sauce

Ingredients
  • 1 medium butternut squash peeled, seeded, cubed
  • 4 red apple peeled, seeded, cubed
  • 1/2 cup Water put more (or less) to desired consistency
  • 3 tablespoon organic coconut oil virgin, cold pressed, unrefined
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch Pink Himalayan Salt

  • 1 medium butternut squash peeled, seeded, cubed
  • 4 red apple peeled, seeded, cubed
  • 1/2 cup Water put more (or less) to desired consistency
  • 3 tablespoon organic coconut oil virgin, cold pressed, unrefined
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch Pink Himalayan Salt
Instructions
  1. Put all ingredients in a crockpot and let it cook until squash and apples are fully cooked.
  2. With a handheld blender, puree mixture to desired consistency. Once cooled, you may freeze it in individual portions.
Recipe Notes

To improve the protein profile of this breakfast, I recommend adding a scoop of collagen powder per portion at serving time.  I recommend "Collagen Peptides" by Vital Proteins.
